Hector Tarrido Picart

I am a designer/developer.

I currently work at Leidos Inc as a Product Designer and Software Developer. I focus on leveraging the power of LLM to automate internal workflows. I also develop code to make NASA’s Night Time Light more accessible to interpretation.

I have over 10 years of experience as a product designer and over 15 years of design experience.

I started my path in product design when I saw new opportunities around creating technological solutions for the GIS-BIM industry. I worked for WJE for several years as a junior architect. I transitioned to tech and architecture when I started working at Esri. I helped ideate and create two new Esri products: ArcGIS Indoors and ArcGIS Urban. I also made several GIS-based apps for PREPA (now LUMA), one of the major utility companies in the territorial USA. I contribute as a front-end iOS and Android developer to the non-profit project Apagon App. I also designed and created a solution to help standardize zoning for the real estate market with Vivacity. I redesigned the user experience for Hyperion, a startup providing online-first banking solutions for small and medium-size businesses.

I like swimming in warm oceans, reading Spanish Literature, playing my guitar, learning new afro-latin rhythms, and exploring new architecture.
